Work Experience

President, Director of Legacy, North Side Association (NSA)

May 2015-Present

Washington University in St. Louis

Stepping into the role of President of NSA provided me the opportunity to efficiently, creatively, and impactfully execute programming excellence on the Washington University campus. As President, I negotiate vendor contracts for food, inflatables, safety inspection, and activities to ensure an on budget event with correct delivery times. Additionally, I organize and run weekly meetings including leadershipworkshops, team bonding, and group organization.

As Director of Legacy, I was responcible for photographing all NSA events, ensuring smooth communication amongst the NSA leadership, and communicate with the North Side residence to let them know of our upcoming events. Perhaps the biggest job over the past few months has been completly reduing NSA's digital presense. When entering office, I noticed that the website had not been updated since 2010. Because of this, there was outdated information, old imagery, and an overal feel of neglect. Over the past few months, I have been working with the IT department at Washington University to create a completly new website.

Head Teaching Assistant (TA), Management Communication

August 2015-Present

Washington University in St. Louis

Being a teaching assistant is one of the most rewarding job opportunities that I have had. In this role, I help students with communication strategies via a 3-month long competition, the Management Communication Client Project (MCCP). Students are asked to provide a completly new communication strategy for the company Leads to Sales. As their TA, I help students with public speaking skills, proper "business" writing, and email drafting. Perhaps the most spectacular change that I see with the students is in their confidence levels regarding idea presentation and communication. At the start of the semester, many students are hesitant to go infront of the class and present their ideas. However, over the past few months, I have seen vast improvement with their skills and have even watched some of the most shy students now eagerly wait for their chance to share their proposals to the class.

February 2014-Present

Washington University International Relations Council, St. Louis, MO

For the past three years I have had the wonderful experience of being the Director for the fantasy committees at the Washington University Model United Nations Symposium (WUMUNS). This three day confrence, hosted at our school, provides the opportunity for high school studnets to engage in debate and public speaking in a fun filled manner. As the Director for the Harry Potter Committee last year and the Star Trek Committee this previous October, I was able to take this expereince to the next level. I was responcible for writing background guides for the highschoolers to follow that included the overarching scenario for the weekend (I was given the liberty to create any scenario within the Harry Potter or Star Trek realms), in depth character descriptions, and possible clues as to how the weekend will unfold. During the actual event I was responcible for a staff of 6-8 fellow students who helped me craft "crisis" moments for 25-30 high school students that participated in our committee rooms. I am excited to see where the War of the Roses committee will go.
